Our Programs

At the Summer Camper, we believe that every child deserves a summer experience that is tailored to their individual needs and interests. That’s why we offer 6 different levels of camp programs, each designed to provide a unique and engaging experience for campers aged 7-16. In this blog post, we’ll give you a brief overview of each of our 6 camp program levels so that you can decide which one is right for your child.

Our six camp program levels are as follows:

Level 1: Beginner Campers

For campers aged 7-9 who are new to the camping experience, our beginner level offers a gentle introduction to all the classic camp activities like hiking, swimming, and canoeing. Campers will also get to participate in arts and crafts projects, sing around the campfire, and roast marshmallows.

Level 2: Intermediate Campers

For campers aged 10-12 who have some previous camping experience, our intermediate level features more challenging activities like rock climbing, zip lining, and orienteering. Campers at this level will also get to participate in group games and sports like capture the flag and soccer.

Level 3: Advanced Campers

For campers aged 13-14 who have significant previous camping experience, our advanced level features activities like whitewater rafting, survival training, and tree climbing. This level also offers opportunities for campers to take on leadership roles within their groups.

Level 4: Teenage Campers

For campers aged 15-16 who are looking for a more independent camping experience, our teenage level offers the chance to plan and execute their own multi-day hikes and overnight camping trips (with adult supervision, of course). Teenagers at this level will also get to participate in service projects aimed at giving back to the local community.

Level 5: Summer Camper Special

These camps focus on one particular area, such as sports, the arts, or academics. If your child is passionate about a specific activity, a specialty camp may be the perfect choice.

Level 6: Family Campers

Family level camps offer something for everyone – parents can enjoy adult activities while kids participate in kid-friendly activities nearby. This is a great option for families who want to spend some quality time together while still being able to enjoy some time apart.

We hope this overview has given you a better understanding of the different levels of camp programs offered here at the Summer Camper. No matter what your child’s age or previous camping experience may be, we’re confident that we have a program that’s right for them.
